Susan J. Sweeney is one of the founding partners of Operational Resources International (ORI). Susan has over 30 years of International financial management experience. While employed at Barclay’s PLC, England, a major global financial services provider, Susan managed all training, programs, and reports. She ensured all applications and contracts were in compliance with England’s regulatory commission in the sale of such items as bonds and mortgages. She oversaw all staff procedures, and was responsible for company policy compliance. Upon relocating to the United States, Susan was the Controller with a large corporation, managing multiple ledgers, budgets, inventories, insurance, and workers compensation, as well as secured contracts. Susan increased business growth as a key associate in the Business Development division.

As CEO of Operational Resources International, Susan has developed relationships that provided ORI with U.S. government contracts and work as consultants with DOD contractors. She has developed a business model that puts the client first.

Joseph Sweeney is a graduate of the Pittsburgh Police Academy and a former Bomb Squad Commander and SWAT operator. Mr. Sweeney has over 23 years of operational experience with Federal, County, and Local agencies, as well as deployments overseas as an instructor in explosive countermeasures and counter terrorism training in support of countries allied with the United States. Served as an advisor to support allies of the United States and their security and explosives counter measure programs.

He has developed curriculum in IED recognition, In-Flight Explosive Incidents, HAZ-MAT Incidents, Firearms Training, and Home Made Explosives (HME). He has publications in the International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators bi monthly magazine, and was the former International Director and currently sits on the Board of Trustees.  He was tasked with coordinating the security details at the International Training Conferences with over 1,000 delegates and foreign dignitaries in attendance.

Mr. Sweeney has presented technical briefs to the public and private sectors involving procedures and best practices dealing with explosive threats and incidents. He also consults to private companies, security, and public safety agencies in the use of robotic platforms in explosive incidents and hazardous material responses, including Weapons of Mass Destruction situations and Radiological and Nuclear Detection Systems.

Brian J. Sweeney is Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Operational Resources International (ORI). Mr. Sweeney was appointed to his current position on May 27, 2010. As Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Sweeney is responsible for all aspects of the Corporation’s financial strategies, processes, and operations.

Prior to assuming the CFO position, Mr. Sweeney served as Financial Analyst and Contracts Administrator for a leading mining and chemicals manufacturing company. In this role, he was responsible for all pricing and profitability maximization of all long term contracts and sales agreements, as well as operational efficiency audits.

Mr. Sweeney also provided financial consulting and attestation services to government contracts while living and working in the greater Washington, DC metro area. Mr. Sweeney provided services to companies that work with and for government agencies, including the Department of Defense, Department of The Navy, Drug Enforcement Agency, Department of Justice, Department of Energy, Central Intelligence Agency, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Homeland Security.

Mr. Sweeney received a BA in Accounting from Washington & Jefferson College in 2006 and became a Certified Public Accountant in 2009.

Maura Alford joined Operational Resources International in January 2012. Maura is responsible for all marketing strategies and supports all business development initiatives.

By updating and designing our social media strategy, advertisement and collateral, ORI’s outreach is proving dividends and better communications. In addition, Maura has worked field and range operations, coordinating all logistics and liaised with our customers and end users to ensure a continued strong relationship and commitment to mission success.

Maura is a member if the International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators and currently is completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Administration of Justice B.A. , at the University of Pittsburgh.
